Military relocation, with a personal side

Your life isn’t
one-size-fits-all.
Neither is your move.

A new duty station means new routines, new neighbors and a fresh start. Your moving plan should make space for all of it.

Choose the help you need for a PCS relocation, a personally procured move or your next civilian chapter. We’ll talk through your belongings, dates and destination before putting a plan together.

Taking home to your next chapter

Move your household

Plan loading, transportation and delivery around your inventory and route. Review access, dates and the services included in your estimate.

Long-distance moving

Protect what matters

Request packing for the whole home, selected rooms or delicate belongings. Keep the essentials you’ll need on the journey with you.

Explore packing options

Bridge the gap

When move-out and move-in don’t line up, discuss storage, delivery timing and access before your belongings leave home.

Plan moving with storage

First, find your moving path

PCS orders?
Let’s make the options clearer.

A Permanent Change of Station (PCS) is your relocation. A Personally Procured Move (PPM), often called a DITY move, is one way to arrange it.

What are you planning?

Read official moving guidance ↗

Your move. Your selected services.

More choice.
A plan you can work with.

With a PPM, you arrange your own household move—including hiring a moving company. Start by confirming approval and documentation requirements with your transportation office.

  • Review a written moving estimate
  • Select packing and storage needs
  • Confirm required weight tickets
  • Keep receipts and shipment records

A separate path for official arrangements

Start with your
assigned moving team.

For a government-arranged shipment, your transportation office and assigned provider guide the official process. A private quote here does not schedule or change that shipment.

  • Confirm your assigned provider
  • Check shipment and packing dates
  • Ask before adding private services
  • Clarify which charges are your own

A clear place to begin

Gather a few details.
Take one step at a time.

Ask your transportation office about your move options, then list the belongings and services you may need. You can discuss a private estimate without sharing sensitive assignment information.

  • Approximate pickup and delivery areas
  • Preferred moving dates
  • Home size and large items
  • Packing or storage questions
Talk through my options

Your transportation office confirms authorization, allowances, reimbursement and required documentation. A commercial moving estimate is separate from government entitlement decisions. Official personal property guidance.

From planning to your first night in

One journey.
Four clear next steps.

Less guessing about what comes next. More clarity about what to prepare, discuss and confirm.

  1. 01 / GET ORIENTED

    Start with the details

Confirm your move arrangements. Share pickup and delivery areas, preferred dates and a first look at your inventory.

  2. 02 / BUILD YOUR PLAN

    Agree on the scope

Review your written estimate, packing choices, access needs and any storage or special handling before booking.

  3. 03 / PREPARE & MOVE

    Keep everything organized

Set aside travel essentials. Review the inventory and keep your moving paperwork, receipts and contacts together.

  4. 04 / MAKE IT HOME

    Receive & settle in

Check delivered items against the inventory, note concerns and confirm any unpacking included in your plan.

Dates can shift. Discuss changes as soon as you know them, and confirm availability and any revised charges in writing.

Build packing help into your military moving plan. Tell us what you want to handle yourself and where you’d like an extra pair of hands.

Full-home packing

Discuss packing for the household, materials and labeling. Confirm the rooms, items and tasks covered in the estimate.

Selected rooms & fragile belongings

Choose help where it matters most. Point out delicate pieces, electronics or sentimental belongings and ask about suitable protection.

Unpacking at your new home

From PPM planning to packing and storage, start with the details that affect your move.

Talk to our team
What is included in military moving services?

Your plan can include packing, loading, household goods transportation, delivery and unpacking, plus storage when needed. Services and availability depend on your route and inventory. Review the scope and charges in your written estimate.

Can I hire movers for a PPM or DITY move?

A Personally Procured Move lets you arrange your own move, including hiring a commercial mover. Confirm authorization and documentation with your transportation office before booking. Our private estimate does not confirm eligibility or a reimbursement amount. See official PPM guidance.

What paperwork should I discuss before a PPM?

Ask your transportation office which approvals, weight tickets, receipts and other records your move requires. Then confirm with your moving coordinator who will provide each document and when. Keep copies of your moving records.

What happens if my moving dates change?

Tell the team as soon as your plans change. Ask for updated pickup and delivery availability, storage options where needed, and a written explanation of any pricing changes. A requested date is not a confirmed booking.

Can you help when my new home is not ready?

Ask about storage as part of your move. Confirm duration, fees, access, availability and redelivery arrangements before booking. Your transportation office determines whether any storage is authorized or covered by your military move arrangements.

What should I know about base access or overseas moves?

Ask your installation or transportation office about access and shipment requirements, then discuss the route with our team. Confirm gate procedures before moving day. For an overseas assignment, verify service availability and authorized arrangements before committing to a private move.
