Payment & Cancellation Policy – World Class Moving and Storage
At World Class Moving and Storage, we are a licensed and insured moving company that directly provides professional moving services for residential and commercial customers. Unlike moving brokers, our company handles the transportation of your household goods with our own trained moving professionals and equipment.
Our goal is to provide transparent pricing, clear payment terms, and reliable moving services for every customer.
Licensed Moving Carrier – Not a Broker
World Class Moving and Storage operates as a moving carrier, which means we are responsible for the safe handling, loading, transportation, and delivery of your belongings.
We do not act as a moving broker and do not simply arrange transportation with third-party carriers. Our professional team manages the moving process from start to finish to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Moving Service Payment Terms
To secure your moving date and ensure availability of trucks and crew members, payment is collected in stages.
1. Reservation Deposit
A deposit or booking fee is required at the time of scheduling your move. This confirms your moving date and allows us to allocate our professional moving crew and equipment for your relocation.
2. Pickup Day Payment
A portion of the remaining balance may be due on the day of pickup once our movers arrive and begin loading your household goods.
3. Delivery Payment
The final balance is due upon delivery of your items at the destination address.
Accepted Payment Methods
We may accept the following forms of payment:
- Cash
- Certified Check
- Credit Card
- Debit Card (when arranged in advance)
Payment details will always be included in your Order for Service and Bill of Lading.
Moving Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their scheduled moving services within 72 hours of signing the moving agreement to receive a full refund of their deposit.
After the 72-hour window:
- The deposit may become non-refundable because trucks, moving crews, and scheduling resources are reserved specifically for your move.
- Late cancellations may result in administrative or scheduling fees.
Service Cancellation Limitations
Once moving services have started, the job cannot be canceled. This includes situations where:
- Packing services have begun
- Household goods have been loaded onto the truck
- Transportation to or from the pickup location has started
Once these services begin, the moving contract is considered active and in progress.
Compliance with Federal Moving Regulations
All services provided by World Class Moving and Storage comply with federal and state regulations governing household goods transportation, including guidelines established by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under 49 CFR § 375.
These regulations ensure transparency, consumer protection, and safe transportation practices for interstate moving services.
Customer Agreement
By signing the Order for Service or Bill of Lading, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the payment terms and cancellation policy outlined above.
